"Is it dry yet?" is the single most common question we get asked after a pour, and it's the right one to ask — but the honest answer is always a measured moisture reading, not a guess based on how many days have passed. Covering a screed too early, even by a small margin, can trap moisture and cause problems with adhesives, floor coverings or UFH performance for years afterward.
A proper handover confirms not just that the floor looks dry, but that it's measured dry to the relevant standard for whatever's going on top of it.

How we confirm a floor is ready

Visual and surface check
We check for cracking, surface defects or contamination before any moisture test.

Moisture testing
A relative humidity (or equivalent) test is carried out at the appropriate depth in the screed.

Compare against the target
Results are checked against the threshold required for the intended floor covering or UFH commissioning.

Written confirmation
A result is issued in writing before you or your flooring contractor proceed.
