Liquid screed pours sit downstream of a lot of other work — groundworks, insulation, UFH installation — which means the booking conversation often needs to start well before the site is actually ready to pour. Waiting until prep is finished before contacting us is one of the most common ways a build programme slips by a few weeks.
Lead times move with the season and with how busy the wider construction sector is locally, so there's no single fixed number that applies year-round. What we can offer is realistic guidance on when to start the conversation.

When to start the conversation
As soon as you have a floor plan and a rough target window — even before insulation or UFH are installed — it's worth getting in touch. We'd rather pencil in a provisional date and adjust it than have you approach us once the site is already sat waiting.
This is especially true for larger new build or multi-plot jobs, where plant and crew scheduling benefits from longer notice.
What affects how far ahead you should book
- Job size — larger pours need more plant and crew coordination
- Season — spring and early autumn tend to be busier across the region
- Whether your date is flexible or fixed to a hard programme milestone
- Whether the job forms part of a multi-plot or multi-trade sequence
