Depth-critical pours
Thin-Section Liquid Screed at 25–30mm
Thin-section screed is unforgiving. It works, but only with the right prep and product.
Sometimes the finished floor level is fixed and there's only 25–30mm to play with. Standard 50mm pours won't fit.
Thin-section liquid screed — bonded to a properly prepared slab — solves it. But the prep is where jobs succeed or fail.
Prep for a bonded thin pour
- Shot-blast or grind the slab to a clean profile
- Prime with SBR or manufacturer primer, worked in
- Pour within the primer's open time (usually 20 min)
- No traffic on the primer between coats
