Liquid Screed for Tanked Basements
Basements are wet-room chemistry. Cement-based screed only — anhydrite is off the table.
Basement build-ups use a Type C cavity drain membrane with a sump-and-pump. Screed goes on top of the studded membrane, usually with wet UFH.
The chemistry has to be cement-based (Cemfloor) — anhydrite can't handle the residual moisture risk.
Basement screed build-up
- Type C studded membrane with drainage channel
- 100mm PIR insulation over the studs
- UFH manifold sited above finished slab
- 50–60mm Cemfloor over pipe
