Properly isolated at the edges and at doorway joints, no. We pour with the pipes pressure-tested and follow a controlled commissioning schedule.
Does liquid UFH screed improve EPC ratings?+
Indirectly — yes. Faster response and lower running temperatures help heat-pump COP, which feeds into your SAP/EPC. We'll share the manufacturer data your assessor needs.
What depth of screed over UFH pipes do you recommend?+
Minimum 50mm cover above the highest pipe — usually a 65-75mm total slab over insulation. Thicker if you want more thermal mass.
